The making process has many steps: gluing up, cutting, gluing up again and re-cutting.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>High levels of precision are required to ensure that every face, with mitred corners, lines up to give the illusion that the sleeve is hewn from a solid block. Further precision is required to ensure a snug fit for the enclosed matchbox.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>The striker and finger hole are carved out and then hand finished using a chisel.
